Canvas has two new features that you can now use in your courses: Smart Search and Discussion Summaries. Smart Search will allow you and your students to search a course for a specific term or topic. Discussion Summaries will allow you to get a quick summary of all the responses from a discussion in your class. They both use artificial intelligence to gather your results.

Since the widespread release of generative AI, NSU faculty have been exploring the implications and opportunities of this technology for teaching and learning. The LEC continues to support faculty by providing guidance and offering workshops and presentations that explore various aspects of generative AI and its impact on higher education.

In this workshop, we present the tool, Turnitin, which helps identify instances of potential plagiarism.
