Educator Competency Framework
The LEC Educator Competency Framework was developed in collaboration with the LEC Advisory Council to communicate what knowledge, skills, and attitudes we value in our faculty, staff, and administrators who serve in the role of educating our students. We use the framework to guide our faculty development programming and professional development initiatives. To learn more about the framework, you can watch “Overview of the LEC’s Educator Competency Framework.” In addition, LEC’s Faculty Professional Development Catalog is an online catalog listing professional development sessions organized by the five competency categories: Acting with Integrity, Embracing Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Creating Learner-Centered Environments, Designing Effective Learning Experiences, and Using Innovative Teaching Strategies and Technology.
