Welcome Back from the LEC
Welcome and Happy New Year! The LEC is excited to kick off 2022 with a variety of professional development events and resources. In this issue, we begin with a Year in Review and highlight many of the LEC initiatives from 2021. We are grateful for your interest in using our resources to support NSU’s Vision 2025 and our path toward preeminence.
We are excited to offer the Foundations of Teaching Online series again this semester. If you are new to online teaching and learning or simply want to refresh your skills, please join us for one or all six sessions starting January 12 through the end of March. Also, our Winter 2022 Guest Presentation Series launches on Thursday, January 20th with a discussion about embodiment theory, trauma, and pedagogy for better course engagement. We hope to see you there!
For the most current Canvas updates, be sure to visit the Canvas Corner where we discuss the latest enhancements to Discussions and the Gradebook. If you plan on using Respondus to create and manage exams, check out the upcoming webinars on January 6th and 11th.
Finally, the LEC Faculty Studio located in DeSantis, 3025 is open and taking appointments. We look forward to supporting your efforts to use technologies such as audio, video, and our 66” lightboard to create engaging learning content!
Enjoy This Week in the LEC and here’s to a collaborative, productive, and engaging 2022!
