Unlock the full potential of your video content in Shark Media! This workshop is designed to bring your skills with Shark Media to the next level.  Participants will learn how to perform basic video editing, create interactive hotspots, manage and edit captions for accessibility, build engaging quizzes, and analyze viewer engagement through detailed analytics. Through hands-on demonstrations and guided instruction, you’ll explore each of these features and discover how to create more dynamic and interactive videos that captivate your audience.

If you have writing assignments in your course, you already know that plagiarism can be a problem. In this workshop, we present the tool, Turnitin, which helps identify instances of potential plagiarism. During the workshop, you will learn about the various ways in which Turnitin can be used in your Canvas course so that you can begin screening writing assignments for possible plagiarism and grammatical errors.

This presentation offers a call for curricular reform in higher education in response to the impact of artificial intelligence. It will highlight how integrating AI literacy and skills into curricula can better prepare students for the evolving job market and societal changes.

The Call for Proposals for the annual Learning and Educational Center (LEC) Teaching and Learning Virtual Conference has been extended to September 20th, 2024. The conference is scheduled Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, 2024, and will be taking place virtually in Zoom Events. The LEC seeks sessions focused on innovative strategies and approaches to elevate academic standards and connect with today’s diverse student body, ensuring that our educational practices evolve to meet the needs of the modern learner. We are excited to announce our upcoming conference with the theme, “Raising the Bar: Educating the Modern Learner.” This event is designed to empower NSU educators to enhance the quality and relevance of teaching and learning. The conference is for all NSU faculty, staff, and students interesting in advancing their teaching and learning research and practice. Registration begins in October.
