UN SDG Learning Opportunity for Students: How Faculty Can Support This Initiative

This month, the Halmos College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS) is partnering with The Foundation of Environmental Stewardship (FES) to offer the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Launch on the NSU campus. Endorsed by all 193 of the UN’s Member States, the SDGs represent the international framework for cooperation on humanity’s most pressing challenges. The launch will establish a program to educate, empower, and mobilize youth to become activists for sustainable development in their community.

The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2022. Venue TBA. Please click here – Event Page – to view details about the program.

The following resources are for faculty.

  • A 15-minute video, The Faculty Engagement Guide video that gives you a complete overview of what this event is and what you can do to empower your students to participate.
  • Alternatively, you can scroll down the slideshow if you’d like to condense the 15-minute video to a quick 2-minute read!

Students that participate in the event will earn a Certificate of Training for Advocacy and Implementation of the United Nations SDGs and a LinkedIn Badge!
