Description:

In this interactive workshop, educators will explore how to integrate powerful external tools into the Canvas LMS to create engaging, student-centered learning environments. Participants will learn how to embed tools like Poll Everywhere for live interaction, LinkedIn Learning for skill-building, and other curated apps that support multimedia, assessment, and collaboration. The session will highlight real-world use cases and provide practical steps to incorporate these tools seamlessly into Canvas modules, assignments, and discussions.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1. Identify key external tools that can be integrated with Canvas to support active learning and student engagement.
2. Embed Poll Everywhere and LinkedIn Learning content directly into Canvas course components.
3. Evaluate the pedagogical impact of different external tools on course design and student outcomes.
4. Design a Canvas module that incorporates at least one external tool for interactive learning or content delivery.
