NSU’s Learning and Educational Center is excited to announce the release of its new web-based hub, offering faculty resources for teaching and learning with generative AI. Since the widespread release of generative AI, NSU faculty have been exploring the implications and opportunities of this technology for teaching and learning. The LEC continues to support faculty by providing guidance and offering workshops and presentations that explore various aspects of generative AI and its impact on higher education.
We are now happy to share these new LEC web-based resources for faculty. These resources include guidance on many topics. These topics include how to communicate with students about generative AI, developing an AI policy, generative AI for assignments and assessments, how generative AI can be a faculty assistant, and utilizing AI for research. There is information on AI detection, prompt engineering, ethics, responsible use, and more.
On the homepage, you will also find links to the LEC video playlist of generative AI workshops, a set of basic tutorial videos, and a link to the MAKO Commons community of practice where you can share resources, ideas, and questions.
Generative AI is a quickly evolving area of intersection between technology and education. We will continue exploring this topic at the LEC and want to remind you that we are available to work with you on your course design needs related to generative AI, along with all other needs related to faculty professional development, course and curriculum design, and learning technologies.
