In this interactive workshop, educators will explore how to leverage Lucid’s suite of tools—including Lucidchart and Lucidspark—within the Canvas Learning Management System to create dynamic visual content and collaborative learning activities. Participants will learn how to create and embed diagrams, flowcharts, and brainstorming boards to enhance instructional materials, facilitate student engagement, and support group projects.

Embedding Multimedia with SharkMedia and Annoto

November 4th, 2025 – 12:30p – 1:30p

Enhance your course content with interactive video experiences using SharkMedia (Kaltura) and Annoto. In this hands-on workshop, educators will learn how to embed SharkMedia videos directly into Canvas and transform passive video watching into active learning. Participants will explore how Annoto enables real-time engagement with features like timeline comments, polls, private notes, and interactive quizzes—all within the video player. The session will also cover how to analyze student activity through Annoto’s analytics dashboard, giving you insight into learner participation and video usage.

Exploring Turnitin in Canvas
December 2th, 2025 – 12:30p – 1:30p

If you have writing assignments in your course, you already know that plagiarism can be a challenge. In this workshop, we present the tool, Turnitin, which helps identify instances of potential plagiarism. During the workshop, you will learn about the various ways in which Turnitin can be used in your Canvas course so that you can screen writing assignments for possible plagiarism and grammatical errors.

 

All About Turnitin Rubrics
