Description:

Faculty research and teaching thrive with the right support, and NSU Libraries are far more than book repositories! In this interactive roundtable, meet librarians from the five NSU Libraries. Discover each library’s mission and uncover powerful, often-overlooked resources, and services that save time and elevate scholarship. Explore strategies for interdisciplinary research, systematic reviews, legislative history, specialized datasets, scholarly impact metrics, Open Access publishing, and cost-saving course materials. Learn how NSU Libraries are advancing digital scholarship and integrating emerging AI tools, while reducing instructional burden through tailored research instruction, Open Educational Resources, Course Reserves, and early syllabus collaboration. Faculty will leave with practical insights and a clear understanding of how NSU Libraries serve as active partners in research, teaching, and innovation across all academic disciplines.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, faculty will:

1. Analyze the distinct missions and resources of each library to identify ways they support faculty research and teaching.
2. Evaluate methods for incorporating library services such as Open Educational Resources, instruction sessions, and impact metrics into research projects and courses.
3. Apply AI tools, makerspaces, and digital scholarship resources to enhance scholarly work and classroom innovation.
