Description:

In Part 1 of Engaging Today’s Learners, we focused on the characteristics, challenges, and motivations as well as strategies for creating positive and productive learning environments. This session focuses on how to implement those strategies to maximize learning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the characteristics, motivations, habits, and dispositions of today’s learners.
  • Discuss how we can leverage what we know about today’s learners to maximize engagement.
  • Identify challenges that may arise in face-to-face, online, and remote classrooms, such as disengagement, lack of motivation, and disruptive behaviors.
  • Discuss strategies for creating positive and productive learning environments.
