Responding to students’ questions in an efficient and effective way can help reduce misunderstandings and improve student performance and engagement. This presentation will address the topic of student questions and how faculty can answer them in various forums from in-person office hours to online discussion boards. Methods for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of answering students’ questions will also be discussed.

Learning Objectives:  

Upon completion of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Identify platforms for student questions and faculty responses.
  2. Recognize the value of online platforms (such as Canvas Discussions) for student questions.
  3. Discuss tools and methods that can be used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of answering students’ questions.
