Many professionals have embraced Generative AI (GenAI) as part of their work, and employers increasingly expect new hires to have AI literacies. But how can educators prepare students for these workplaces while still ensuring that learning objectives are being met? Can writing processes incorporate GenAI ethically? This workshop will focus on exploring “human centered” workflows for writing with GenAI that maintain ethical standards while supporting student learning and literacy.
Objectives:
- Identify elements of GenAI literacy students will need
- Identify risks to learning and communication associated with GenAI
- Develop an assignment-based workflow for ethical writing with GenAI
