Discover how to boost classroom engagement and streamline course management using Poll Everywhere, a powerful audience response system that integrates seamlessly with your teaching. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how to use live polling, Q&A, clickable images, word clouds, and more to create an interactive learning environment—whether in-person or online. You’ll also learn how to manage responses, customize activities to fit your teaching style, and review real-time analytics to assess student understanding. By the end of the session, you’ll be equipped with practical strategies to encourage participation, foster student interaction, and make data-informed teaching decisions.

If you have writing assignments in your course, you already know that plagiarism can be a challenge. In this workshop, we present the tool, Turnitin, which helps identify instances of potential plagiarism. During the workshop, you will learn about the various ways in which Turnitin can be used in your Canvas course so that you can screen writing assignments for possible plagiarism and grammatical errors.

This interactive workshop introduces faculty to the upgraded Turnitin integration using LTI 1.3 in the Canvas LMS. Learn how to create and manage rubrics within the Turnitin interface, understand the new types of rubrics available, and apply them effectively in online assignments. We’ll explore key benefits of using Turnitin rubrics for consistent and transparent grading, and how the LTI 1.3 update simplifies assignment setup and enhances workflow. Whether you’re new to Turnitin or transitioning from the previous version, this session will help you align assessment with learning outcomes more efficiently.

Join us for an engaging workshop designed to empower educators with the expertise to craft, manage, and utilize rubrics within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). This practical session aims to transform the grading process, bolster transparency, and elevate the quality of student feedback. Participants will examine diverse rubric formats, create model rubrics, incorporate them into assignments and discussions, and utilize them proficiently for grading purposes.

This hands-on session will guide educators through the features and functions of the Canvas Gradebook to help streamline grading, improve feedback, and better support student success. Participants will explore Gradebook settings, filtering and sorting tools, grade posting policies, and integration with assignments and rubrics.

This interactive workshop guides educators in the effective use of New Canvas Analytics, empowering them to monitor, analyze, and enhance student engagement and performance. Participants will work with practical scenarios, gaining hands-on experience in using analytics data to support teaching strategies and improve learning outcomes.
