Enhance your course content with interactive video experiences using SharkMedia (Kaltura) and Annoto. In this hands-on workshop, educators will learn how to embed SharkMedia videos directly into Canvas and transform passive video watching into active learning. Participants will explore how Annoto enables real-time engagement with features like timeline comments, polls, private notes, and interactive quizzes—all within the video player. The session will also cover how to analyze student activity through Annoto’s analytics dashboard, giving you insight into learner participation and video usage. Whether you’re looking to make lectures more dynamic or encourage student collaboration around multimedia, this workshop will equip you with the tools to create meaningful video-based learning experiences.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Identify the key features of SharkMedia and Annoto for embedding multimedia in Canvas.
2. Integrate SharkMedia videos and Annoto widgets into Canvas Pages, Assignments, and Discussions.
3. Design interactive video activities using Annoto’s tools such as comments, polls, and quizzes.
