Join us for an engaging workshop designed to empower educators with the expertise to craft, manage, and utilize rubrics within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). This practical session aims to transform the grading process, bolster transparency, and elevate the quality of student feedback. Participants will examine diverse rubric formats, create model rubrics, incorporate them into assignments and discussions, and utilize them proficiently for grading purposes.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  1. Define the purpose and benefits of rubrics in Canvas.
    2. Differentiate between types of rubrics (analytic vs. holistic).
    3. Create a rubric in Canvas using criteria, ratings, and point values.
    4. Attach rubrics to assignments and discussions.
    5. Apply rubrics for efficient grading and consistent feedback.
